Default NLCS Tiebreaker...What a game!!

Wow! This is awesome to watch...as of right now the rockies have just tied it up after going down 2 in the top of the 13th. Running run is at third.

October baseball is great.

EDIT: Rockies finish the drive and make the postseason.

Albeit on somewhat of a delayed safe call at home plate haha.

Holliday did NOT get home plate.

He also ate a lot of shale on that slide.

If I'm a Padres fan, I'm not happy. Blown call to end the season. Props to the Rockies regardless.

WAS a great game, ruined by a very poor call. And with that much on the line - that sucks. Instead of being remembered as a classic it will be remembered for a blown call.

Well, anything could have happened, but the Rockies looked like they would win that game regardless.

The replay wasnt definitive either way, we needed an overhead angle.

But what a freakin ending. Anybody that scoffs at baseball calling it boring can watch a game like this and eat crow. Post-season baseball is one of the most exciting sporting events around.

I love october.

I disargee, with all that drama it will make it even more of a classic, that comeback alone makes it an instant classic

When did Hoffman become a gas can? Two playoff berth clinching blown saves in 3 days. Can't say I expected the comeback after Jorge Julio went Jorge Julio.

The ump had an angle no TV camera's had. I think he slide his hand over the plate even though the catcher's leg was blocking right before the plate. The reason for the delay was, if you watch the ump during a replay, to see if the catcher had the ball. The more I watch it the more it seems like the right call.

Unbelievable game in any event.

I think that it was a blown call in the sense that with multiple camera angles upon review we think he missed it.

As stated above the umpire had a completely different angle, and one that might have down Holliday's hand hit the plate.

I don't agree with the fact that it's only a matter of time before Hoffman gave up another bomb, as that out would have been a huge momentum swing for the Padres.

Great game, glad to see the Rockies pull that out.

Seeing it at full speed the first time, I didn't think he got the plate. He got bumped off the already outside line by the catchers and his hand wasn't stretched out/trailing...I was really expecting a dealyed out call, not a weak late safe call.

Ump had a bad angle and that is his fault, considering where the ball was coming from. Needless to say McLellan won't be doing any post season games.

This was my first "big" baseball game with the full HD treatment and it was everything I thought it would be.

I think the call at the end was bad, he looked like he never got the plate, but an overhead shot would be needed to confirm it. Either way a catcher usually doesn't get the call when he drops the ball.

Things are looking up for MLB. All the playoff race's in the NL coming down to the last day, one of the best games of the year tonight SD/Colarado, then you have the big markets of Chicago, Philly, New York, Boston all in the playoffs. I'm really looking forward to the post season.

For any Expos fans still on here, defintley an Expos connection on the last play of the game tonight. Both Barrett (the catcher who DID block the plate) and Caroll (who drove in the winning run) were expos draft picks and played a number of years with the Expos.

I dont know last angle i saw it looked like he got his hand under his foot. Tough call to make either way at full speed though, same with that potential homerun the rockies almost had. what a game though, that was exciting to watch, and to think I was excited to watch MNF tonight and ended up watching the ball game. October is best sports time of the year!! NFL, NHL, MLB post season

edit: just saw it again on gloabl and it looks like when barrett lifts his left foot is when holliday's hand sneaks under there.
