THRASHERS DOMINATE GAME BUT LOSE 2-1, SERIES TIED 2-2
(Atlanta - AP)
The Atlanta Thrashers dominated game #4 Monday evening and outshot the Florida Panthers 38-16 but Manny Fernandez stole the show. Fernandez made 37 saves to lead the Panthers to a 2-1 win and tie the Gretzky Conference Semifinals 2-2.
For the first time in the playoffs, the Thrashers face the pressure and could be in trouble if they don't get a win soon. Wes Walz got the only goal for the Thrashers in the 3rd period but the Thrashers couldn't get the tying goal.
Asked about the game GM Sutaria said:
"We know what we did."
Asked about how they will change in game #5:
"We know what we did and if you don't like that response then you can get the ##### out of here. We are the underdogs and noone expects us to win. We will bounce back in Florida in game #5."
Game 5 goes back in Florida on Wednesday Night.
