That's nothing! I seen on TV a few years back some people suffer from Hiccupping for years on end. I guess this is worth checking the Guiness World Records.

remember that old simpsons hiccup thing, some guy hiccuping for 45 years?

"hic - kill me - hic - kill me..."

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=szEZZPosUwE

ha - funny stuff...

EDIT: i guess it's not so funny in real life...

i always try drinking upside down, but i'm usually drunk when i have hiccups, so i just fall down a lot. brace yourself on a counter.

I read an article about it stating that they stop when she goes to sleep I think. I'll see if I can find it....

Three weeks? I'd have already taken my own life by the time week 2 rolled around.

Hmm...unfortunately I don't think you can do anything to the diaphram without affecting her breathing. Maybe a electrical jolt or something similar with the treatment of an erratic or irregular heart beat?

I used to like Samosa's but about 6 years ago I went to the market in NB, where we were living at the time, and got some. Brought them back home and took a few bites and started to hiccup. It was a long weekend and they lasted for all 3 days. It was hell. After 3 days when they finally let up my chest, back and neck were in pain. It felt like I had bad whiplash. I used to get the Samosa's every weekend at the market so I don't know if they put some new spice in it or what but I haven't had a Samosa since.

Man, what a coincidence. My buddy here just told me today that his brother-in-law has had the hiccups for 3 months straight now too! My response was exactly as some have already stated here, "I'd have killed myself by now", lol.
