Bit of a gong show in Vancouver. You never know what to expect from this team! We are going to keep on pushing...

What do you mean there is 3 periods in hockey??
The Pittsburgh Penguins played a tight game with the Colorado Avalanche on Friday night. The only problem is they played for only 2 periods. Tied 2-2 heading iunto the 3rd the Pens managed just 2 shots on goal in the final frame and gave up 2 goals to drop a 4-2 decision to the Av's. The newly formed second line of Higgins-Sedin-Williams produced both goals but that was the only highlight for the Penguins. The Pens now have a day off before the host the Yotes on Sunday.

WOW!
One for each shot on goal tonight.

Its gotta be a record.

The only good news:

Glen Wesley injured at 05:08 of the 1st Period
Ian Laperriere injured at 00:16 of the 3rd Period
Rob Davison ejected at 00:16 of the 3rd Period

Flames 3 Blues 2

I dont get it, I really don't!

on paper there is no way that this team i better than the one I started with before all the deals were made, but yet, this team continues to find ways to win.

SOG are definately down, 24 in this last game. So, it begs me to ask the question, why? maybe there is no rhyme or reason to the sim.

So whoever has my first round draft pick? its not going to be as high of a pick as you might think.

Flames continue to make deals, stay tuned.

Avs needed a good win to snap out of their slump and they got it tonight against the Penguins. A solid defensive game, especially in the third limiting the Pens to two shots.
These two teams meet again twice next week.

I like Brandon Bochenski. He has been really good in the sim this year for me.

7-2-1 in the last 10 as well.

Damn, another close one, is there anything more frustrating than a one-goal loss? I was REALLY hoping to win this game .... ARGH!

Jackets beat GM's former team. Making their record 2-0 against Sylvanfan's former teams. La la la Jason Labarbara stands tall and stops 27 shots to backstop the team to the win. Had a good first period outshooting the Devs 11-1 but score nothing. Outshot 18-5 in the second period and come away with a 2-1 lead. Even play in the third and Peter Cajanek pots the game winner with 5:57 left to play. Eric Cole and Miro Satan also scored for the Jackets. Joseph Stumpel (who I got for a 3rd round pick) scored his 25th and 26th goals of the season for the Devils.

Devils punk defenceman Michelle-Andrea Bergeron head butted Satan early in the game and it did annoy the Jackets Sniper as he took 14 minutes in penalty's. Next game we'll find a goon to take care of that little bitch. I'm not above sending an Eric Godard like guy after a midget and watching him beat the midget senseless. I'd actaully quite enjoy it and laugh my face off!

The Hawks come through again tonight, despite a depleted blue line. In fact, 2 of the Hawks 4 goals came from defensemen tonight. One a SH handed effort for Shaone Morrisonn.

With Steve McCarthy still in the box serving a 4 min detention for getting his elbows up on Derian Hatcher, Stu Barnes apparently took a step stool out on the ice with him, climbed up on it, and gave Hatcher another taste of his own medicine. I think it was the stool that got him the 5 min instead of just a minor infraction The Hawks found themselves defending a 5 on 3 for 56 seconds. KILLED. Then the rest of Barnes time was on the clock. With a minute left for the short handed Hawks, Richards caught the puck and swept it out of the zone to some Jokinen. Jokki spoted a streaking Morrisonn and the result went up on the scoreboard.

Andre Meszaros snuck into the lineup even thought he was given the night off to heal his mysterious injury. Good thing he did, as he managed a point in his 6 minutes of play.

The Hawks look forward to a night off, where Mesz can heal, and Oduya awaits a visit from the ratings fairy. Then off to Montreal for a game with the Habs.
