Great deal for all parties involved.
Flames recoup the 1st they had to give up to sign Kadri in the first place plus more.
Don't have to worry about a disgruntled Kadri.
More draft capital and subtracting the best forward on the roster for the tank.
Kadri goes where he wants. Get out of his contract at the tail end.

Way better than the Weegar deal for sure.
-1 point for no A level piece back
-1 point for it being done a year later than it should have been
Sorry if I’m a harsh grader
Curran seems decent, although he’ll need the oil kings stink washed off.
I’d take off another half a point since the team replaced Kadri with 3 NHLers in the accompanying trades instead of leaving spots open for in-system guys but those aren’t part of this trade.
Excellent work overall, a couple more moves in the summer and then this team should be firmly in the build part of the rebuild instead of the demo.
Should have waited for the full conditions, bumping this up to a 9. I'm so used to the conditions being against the Flames that's it's incredible that they're favorable to them for once.

what's not to like?
Love that the 1st is in 2028 - they're winning the cup this year and next, then will suffer from burnout
Another 2nd
Another C prospect
Really good chance they finish 31st

It's hard to say because it is so dependent on who we draft with those picks.

I like it. I guess one thing is that the Flames don't look that bad. Olofsson is a good veteran player coming back. May be tough to bottom out but Olofsson is someone else we can get a 2nd for or something at a later date

I'm gonna bet the one voter so far who didn't like it didn't want Kadri traded at all.

Yeah the only nitpick i have is you might have gotten the earlier 2027 1st if you made the deal before the Avs traded for Nic Roy. But then again the Flames might have gotten a better return after the Schenn trade went through.

10 out of 10, and I love the Strome addition as well.

But maybe the 2028 pick will be higher. The Avs are cresting now, it will be a slow decline.

7, probably meant to put 8.
Trade is solid. I just would've loved a sooner 1st rounder. But the rest of the package is great.

I rated this one a 10 since I was expecting a much lower return for Kadri. This return is really strong. I don't care about the pick being in 2028 - Flames have a lot of prospects coming, and there will be a log-jam. Once they start turning a corner, that 2028 1st round pick could be an important player that is added into a roster on a cheap ELC, and that could be very valuable to the Flames at that time. It is also currency too. I prefer to have some picks staggered.

Considering its the Avs later is better than sooner
Wouldn't be shocked if they traded one of these firsts at some point though
