TBL and DAL are probably the two teams I see making a splash on Coleman at 50%. Their future 1st is going to be likely late, and they know they would be getting a middle 6 forward that can play in all situations. There's value there.
1st and a project prospect would be what I want. From TBL, they can afford to trade SOR or Geekie and not have to offer a 1st. Maybe a conditional 1st if they win the cup.

I'd go with the obvious one in Dallas.

I get the feeling the Coleman trade is already basically done...for cap reasons it won't actually be executed until they are back playing. I'm almost certain he would have been back playing for the Flames if this was not the case.

I'd like to see him go to a contender, but I'm not sure any of them have the money for him.
Do we have any retention spots left?

One retention spot plus a lot of room to take back a contract.

Just 1 (Markstrom and Andersson take the other 2). Which is why I'd rather use it on Coleman to maximize value and really hedge on a cap dump if we're trading Kadri without retention prior or at the TDL of this year. Otherwise, wait until July 1st and trade Kadri with retention.

I feel like Coleman to Dallas or Colorado. Kadri to Caralina or Detroit. I dont see Weeger or Whitecloud moving this year.

Detroit has room for either guy.
Utah should add one as a veteran leader

I like the Carolina fit and could see them actually paying for a guy like Coleman with an extra season on his contract. They could really use a playoff boost from a proven heart and soul guy.
Coleman would also slide in perfectly beside Jordan Staal. Guy is a beefier Backlund with a little less offence. Coleman would immediately bump up the offence of that third line.
Dallas first and a good prospect like Nadeau.

Problem with Carolina is them having almost everyone on their roster with some sort of trade protection. It's honestly wild.

True. But they don’t need to move a contract to fit Coleman’s cap in. They’ve got plenty of space for him.
