Svechnikov's first period goal has the Hurricanes up 1-0 after forty minutes. Carolina is out shooting the Rangers 30-10. Bussi is on a shutout watch while Quick is bailing his team out with great saves.
A shutout watch is also in effect for Reimer as the Senators lead 1-0 after forty minutes. Cousolins has the goal and Reimer has only faced eight shots. Vladar has faced 22 shots.
