Lose of course but a win isn't the end of the world.

The game is secondary these days so it seems ...
We are all just waiting for Raz to get traded. Seems like that is all anyone cares about anymore. Not to blame the fans, the Flames have been less than stellar and with the majority of the veterans (not named Raz) not really giving a crap this year, it seems inevitable that the one player who seems to give anything this year will be wearing a different jersey by start of the Olympics.
Once Raz is gone, this team is going to be hard to watch. Coleman was the only other one (maybe Backlund) so seems to be at least trying. Good news for team tank. We may never win again. At least the young ones on the team are starting to get opportunities and can grow. Time to give Parekh (once conditioned or off shackles) free reign to learn from mistakes and grow instead of thinking he is the problem - he is clearly not (looking at you Huberdeau, Kadri, Weegar who have just been terrible for good chunks of this season).
Go Flames!

Do we know who has the Net yet?
Wolf's gotten some time off, but he's been working like a dog and, I felt that the team really responded well to Coolio in net.
Do they serve hot dogs instead of popcorn in the press box? Get some good Chicago franks!

Perhaps once the trade is done and not hanging over the players’ heads they will perform better.
BTW, Who said Parekh “thinks he’s the problem”?

This would be great game to drop, open up more space in the standings.
I’d love to see a buffer so when the Flames trade some vets and play some kids we have room for a little run sometime in the season without it ruining our draft position.
Teams will start packing it in soon. Vancouver already has. NYR will join shortly.

I don't question level of care of this group. To me it's more the stark realities of
- Bad teams are bad and look like they aren't trying. It's easy to mistake lack of talent for lack of effort
- With that said, I imagine it is hard to sustain the level of compete they had last year, when they are already out of the race. They know they aren't making the playoffs.
I think they care. I think a guy like Huberdeau cares but has no feel or confidence right now.
Welcome to a re-build. Bad teams are less fun to watch. We should not be surprised. Hard to get those awesome high picks AND have a team that is fun to watch.
*Also separately worth noting that I don't think at any point under Conroy has the team scratched a player because a trade was close, except Kuzmenko? But he might have been healthy scratched anyways. But in the Hanifin, Zadorov, Tanev, Lindholm sell off year, I think they all played until they were dealt.

⬆️
Last year Huberdeau would park himself in front of the net most nights. This year not at all therefore I wonder how much of that is due to injury sustained during preseason game.

Well if the ultimate goal is to lose games then one could argue that he's doing his bit.
