The Sharks return home after a five-game, up-and-down, 'all-over-the-map' road swing.
They began with a 4-1 loss to Dallas on Dec. 5, followed by a 4-1 win over Carolina Dec. 7, then a 4-1 defeat to Philadelphia Dec. 9, followed by a pair of OT wins against Toronto (3-2) on Dec. 11 and Pittsburgh (6-5) on Dec. 13.
That final game was a wild one, San Jose rallying from a four-goal, third-period deficit for the victory.
When 2025 began, there wasn’t a lot to look at on the Scotia Place site. Well, there was a hole. A gradually growing hole as the construction team excavated the site, digging 35 feet down to accommodate future work.
As 2025 winds down, that gigantic hole has largely been filled with two full levels of poured concrete that will be the basis for the below-grade event and mezzanine levels of the arena. And while there’s still a little bit of below-grade concrete left to be poured, the concrete skeleton for the future home of the Calgary Flames has begun to appear above ground.

These late night pacific time zone games are killer when you work early in the morning lol. Likely watch the first period and then catch up next day. Go Flames ... win one for your dads!!

Are you in the Mountain time zone? A game in the Pacific time zone shouldn't be a problem as it is a difference of 1 hour.

I am pretty sure that even if the Flames were to win the next 49 regular season games and then the next 16, he would still complain because Flames were picking last instead of first at the draft!

If you ignore games played
And if all the other teams ahead of them, who are also playing tonight, don't gain any points.
But best to get an early start on the complaining!
Even if you ignore the games played you need to also ignore the tiebreaker, which the Flames lose to every team not named Columbus to get some sort of tied for 9th (Rhett44 always rounds up, that is how we know that Kadri is 40). So lots of mental gymnastics to get to that level of panic.
