Default NHL Team Prospects and Prospect Rankings Thread

Thought it might be useful to create a thread dedicated to other NHL team prospects already drafted (or signed as FAs), prospect rankings, and individual team prospect rankings. The obvious connection to the Flames is when/if we deal Rasmus +/- Kadri, Coleman, etc.

To get this started, at Upside Hockey, we're releasing our Top 10 Team Prospect lists (with 3 honourable mentions, released reverse in terms of organizational rankings, starting off to the North of us with the Oil sitting 32 of 32 teams. My Chief Rankings guy Eldon has completed them all, I just need to get them posted. (also open to any CPers interested in helping at Upside - can drop me a line : )

Here's the first 2 teams. The Stars are up next which may be of more interest given the Rasmus trade destination talk...

32. Edmonton Oilers Top 10 Prospects
31. Tampa Bay Lightning Top 10 Prospects
30. Dallas Stars Top 10 NHL Prospects
29. Colorado Avalanche Top 10 NHL Prospects
28. Toronto Maple Leafs Top 10 NHL Prospects
27. Florida Panthers Top 10 NHL Prospects
26. Minnesota Wild Top 10 NHL Prospects
25. Vegas Golden Knights Top 10 NHL Prospects
24. Vancouver Canucks Top 10 NHL Prospects
23. Los Angeles Kings Top 10 NHL Prospects
22. Winnipeg Jets Top 10 NHL Prospects
21. Seattle Kraken Top 10 NHL Prospects
20. Carolina Hurricanes Top 10 NHL Prospects
19. St. Louis Blues Top 10 NHL Prospects
18. Calgary Flames Top 10 NHL Prospects
17. San Jose Sharks Top 10 NHL Prospects
16. New York Rangers Top 10 NHL Prospects
15. Washington Capitals Top 10 NHL Prospects

Feel free to share any other rankings, general other team prospect related stuff in here...
(DFO, Dobber, etc)

You do not have to finish the list. I’m happy with it. Great work all around.

I'm out of thanks, but this is awesome. Would love to see your take on the Flames' coffers (not for negativity, but becuase I'm tired of these lists from people who clearly don't spend much time on any teams west of Detroit).

There are no teams west of Detroit.

Would this be enough for the Flames to get into the top 5?

^^^ Wow.

If they develop. If their game translates. If they’re properly handled.

Think about some of our great prospects down the line:

Parekh, Gridin, Brzu, Wyttenbach, Reschny, Potter, 2017 draft pick #1. I’d say 4/5 of those 7 could hit. Basically replaces Andersson,Kadri,Coleman,Backlund right there (after a few years etc)

I think things are looking UP and UP from the new arena days.

I should probably temper my expectations as it's REALLY early, but I'm starting to get excited about Wyttenbach.

Also, seeing the Flames logo three times in that top eight list is an amazing dopamine hit.

So what does that chart look like from 5 years ago at this point in the season? I’d be curious too see the names and how they panned out.

Great content FC, thank you. By the end of the year, you see some future stars and some guys who will likely never see the NHL. Haven’t heard of most of them, a lot were very undersized. One is playing in Belfast.

Just looked a little closer, that must be leading scorers in total irrespective of age. One guy is 27 now for example.

You could even label 10 guys as prospects for Edmonton?

Yes, definitely so. However, the label would have to include "no good", coinciding with the overall theme of the franchise.
