Default FS: Trevor Kidd Game-Used, Team Canada World Juniors goal pads

I have Trevor Kidd's Team Canada World Junior goal pads and I'm decluttering and want to sell them.

I know they aren't worth a fortune, but it's probably a pretty narrow audience that would want these. I have no idea about value. I think they are worth between $500 and $1,500 (based on looking at other comparable NHL goaltender pads for auction), but I have no idea if that is realistic. I feel for a Team Canada fan these could be quite special.

As background, I bought them from a family friend that worked as a bike mechanic at a sports shop (maybe tuxedo cycle?). Trevor would sell his old gear to the staff there to move on.

I used them in hockey for 3 or 4 years, but since then they've been sitting in my garage. they have the patch that says "custom made for Trevor Kidd".

Any CPer interested? Or have a suggestion of how / where to sell these?

Cool! I’d be curious to see some pictures, but yah, definitely a niche buyer’s market. I have a few buddies that are quasi-collectors that might be interested; I’ll send them a note.

Theres a leather company that makes wallets and things out of goalie equipment, they might be an option. Or honestly i see this stuff on facebook marketplace or some facebook sport groups from time to time.

Here are some pictures: https://imgur.com/a/TRtPKfn

I totally forgot I actually got him to sign these pads (3rd picture). I think this was when the Flames used to practice at Lake Bonavista Rec Centre.

Only thing missing are the plastic bits that went along the bottom of the pad. I feel like I have these somewhere as my plan when I was younger was to exhibit these, so they are probably with all my old hockey memorabilia, but I cannot seem to find it. They also could have been thrown out in one of 15 or 20 moves I've done in my life.

Here's the one for Stuart Skinner's glove --> wallet:

Those are sweet. From the 1991 WJC when they won gold in Saskatoon.

As you can see in the photo those "plastic bits" are attached on the bottom, designed to prevent the puck from sliding underneath the pad when standing up. They were officially (?) called puck foils, and were deemed illegal by the NHL.

Love that photo, I knew there was one out there of these in use.

The wallet idea is really interesting. All of a sudden any team canada fan would be interested.

I was also thinking that these pads would be great for a sports card company to use in a sports card around the World Juniors.
