https://x.com/2muttshockeypod/status...J0hMKP8QSWD-hQ

Culprit is LW Luke Dragisica, suspended indefinitely. Happened last night in the third-period of the Brampton-Oshawa game.

The worst part is that probably neither of these players will go pro and no kid in the OHL is making millions of dollars to have their head chopped off at 20 years old.

Enough force to draw blood apparently. Then a second whack on the back that broke his stick.

That’s not the worst part…

Played a few games with Luke Misa last season after being traded.

That's ugly and obviously not an accident. Ban him for life.

That should warrant criminal charges.
He was on purposely going for the neck or face rather than the helmet.

It's worst than that. Kid that got slashed is only 17 and the other kid is 18.

Absolutely terrible slash to the face/head. Should definitely throw the book at him.

But, is nobody seriously going to mention the ridiculously dangerous hit that the kid who got slashed put on the kid who slashed him right before it happened? Square in the numbers and sent him face first into the boards.

I can see how someone loses their temper after a hit like that...

But if you can't control your temper, you really shouldn't be playing any contact sport.

It was also clearly a freak play, the guy went for a hit and after he committed, his team mate hit the guy and knocked him back and off balance into the other hit.

But like… even if he drove him straight from behind, with the guy standing still, face into the glass… you still OBVIOUSLY can’t do what he did.

Calling that “square in the numbers” is crazy, too. He hit him in the shoulder after the player was hit a half second earlier, which is why the guy goes into the boards at an angle.

Generally people don’t think to talk about the awkward accidental contact that preceded a guy two-hand swinging his stick into another guy’s face on purpose like a psychopath.

That will be a defining decision in that young man's life. I bet he's already feeling the disappointment in himself.

Agreed, it should be talked about more. It's like the time some guy went through a red light and hit my car. I wasn't hurt, but I could have been seriously injured. So as a response, I followed him home, nailed the guys doors shut and lit his house on fire. He escaped with some minor burns, but he'll be fine.

But noooo, the courts didn't seem to care that he hit me first, they kept focusing on what they referred to as "attempted murder". Totally unfair given he recklessly hit me first.

Haha

This sarcastic response would work better if I hadn't said they should throw the book at the goof that swung his stick. He should.be penalized the maximum amount according to the rules.

Doesn't change the fact that was damn dangerous hit and could have broke the guys neck had he hit the boards wrong.
