It’s been requested that I start an appreciation thread for the political activist who was assassinated for his beliefs.
I’ve learned there are positions I strongly disagreed with him on, as well as positions I strongly agreed with his stance.
Nothing but hate for the man thus far on CP, but it seems he was a good man and meant well. Wasn’t always right, but nobody is - certainly didn’t deserve to die for his beliefs.
Hey, now Charlie leant left....how dare you treat his memory like this he died for what he believed in.
I only cared because I know he's been preaching nazi values since day 1 . I'm around his age so I've known about him alone time. As I'm from a family who don't decimated by nazis I have no empathy. My grandmother told me a story about ww2 in The Netherlands when she was very young which she told me when I was vety young that's stuck with me for my whole life. I can't find much difference between that story and what Trump and his allies are pushing for in today's culture. My Grandfather and great granfather defected from Nazi Germany and Joined the Canadian army to fight fascists. I got 2 people that have told me stories with first hand experiences of fascists on both sides of the story. What I see now and their stories sure feels like fascism beginnings.ley me tell you they were Conservative as all #### even after what they experienced. So this isn't just the left saying fascist because they are left leaning. There is a difference in being Conservative and being a fascist.
I also don't think any Canadian should feel any thing for him . Regardless of political belief or religious belief. He sided with trump and even made his own case and stated America should invade Canada . That right there makes him an enemy of our sovereignty.
He was an enemy of our country that advocated milatary take over of yours and my country . That alone he can #### right off.
He was so right and fascist that a member of his own party labeled him as a fascist and shot him. A college age conservative the age he made a living trying to preach to.
Also on a side note the dudes creepy as ####. The rightt wing in America are always saying the left are pedos and child grooming yet Charlie Kirk is the poster child of a guy that Peaked in Colledge and ran with it. Dude made a living and was Ceo of a foundation that focuses on young Americans and how they should live. He made a career of arguing college aged kids. He is the living embodiment of Matthew mcanaheys character in dazed and confused and that's creep as ####. " You know what I like about debating these college kids? I get older but these kids stay the same age" that's grooming and creepy he can't move past college life
I also think alot of people forget our law differences in Canada vs USA. Alot of things Charlie said down south wouldn't fly up here legally. Alot of his rhetoric would be considered hate speech. If you Support his hate speech over your own Countries laws .. that I think is sad.

Damn Fonz, covid and the freedom convoy really broke you didn't it?
This gets super embarrassing for Kirk around the two minute mark when he just doesn't understand that countries that aren't America don't work like America. The whole Cambridge debate made him look like a fool regardless but when he had to debate an actual professor all his little debate tricks didn't work.
