1. Rank the prospects as you like. Upside, chances, or trade value
2. I will try and do one a day which should get us to mid to late August
3. Graduates and/or runoffs will be determined in each case
4. Please don't complain that the polls are going to deep. We go until all the prospects are ranked, so don't vote if you don't want to.
It's Kuzy time for me. I still hope he becomes a top 4 stay at home D at the NHL level.
Same. I think Kuznetsov and Solovyov are both ready to take the next step. I think Kuznetsov could be a top 4 D but it'll be hard to get him there with the logjam of third pair LD we have.
I hope they both make the roster this year and force Conroy's hand.

This has nothing to do with the prospect ranking, but I didn't want to start a free thread or bump an old one.
On prospects, I felt it was time for Soloyov or Kuznetsov as one should be on the team this year (assuming Andersson is moved). Went Soloyov only because he's had a bit more time in the NHL. TacoMan's summary of his son Carter was excellent and gave me some excitement about him as a fan.

I went with Stromgren, but there are about 5 guys I have here - Sergeev, Zarubin, Solovyov, Kuznetsov.,,, and Poirier.
I have Poirier solidly in this group as well. I think people are down on him somewhat since the additon of Parekh and Brzustewicz, but I think he still has great upside and potential to end up on the Flames. That 23-24 season really hurt him with only playing 23 games (a bad cut, so nothing to worry about long-term at all). He started last season very slowly, but he really came on and finished comfortably in the lead for points from the blue-line (and in all fairness, Brzustewicz also started slowly and was 2nd). Poirier's major weaknesses were that he was a bit thin and that he was defensively irresponsible, which led him to be drafted in the 3rd round. I think he has really improved adding some size as well as becoming much more reliable in his own zone, raising his floor a bit.
Some random thoughts:
One player that I don't think has been brought up atl so far - and to be fair, it is a bit early - is Hunter Laing. 6'6" forward who skates well and has decent skill. He took a big step forward this season in terms of production, especially after the trade from the Cougars to the Blades. I think he has some underrated potential here, but will probably need time to fill out that huge frame. He isn't just big, he also seems pretty good!
Also too early for him, but I wonder if Ciona really impresses again this camp? He looked as if he took a giant leap in his development - especially his skating - during last season's camp. I am looking forward to seeing him this year. He probably does top-out as a 4th liner, but he may end up becoming a really good one. His production has improved, his skating has improved, he seems to have improved defensively, and he is one of the high-character guys in the organization too. I am not as confident he becomes a player at the NHL level, but he is a kid I wouldn't bet against either. I had more or less written him off as a prospect until he opened my eyes at last year's camp, and then went and had a decent season where he showed solid progression.

I think Stromgren takes this round. I chose Sergeev...so I expect I'll be wrong. Next five rounds shoul be interesting. I expect we might get another run off between Soloyvov and Kuznetsov if Stromgrem and Sergeev are the next two off the board.

Forgot about Stromgren, but I’ve got Poirier next. He’s getting slept on. I know he doesn’t have the greatest defense, but he’s also a great point-producing d man
this might be another case of what i'll dub vibe voting, but i went off the board with Kirill Zarubin. Those who know have forgotten more about goalies than I ever will know, dubbed him the best goalie in the draft class last year...but much patience likely needed...Stromgren, Solo, Sergeev, etc prob make more sense here...

I agree that Zarubin is the most promising goalie prospect.
At this point I am between King/Kuznetsov/Solovyov here.
Hard to decide whether I like the upside or the proven development from here on out. Someone like Wyttenbach or Lane could pan out higher but they’re so far away at this point.

I’m really intrigued by Lane. Went the prep school route to get into Harvard… but got a taste of the OHL with the rule change and put up a point per game on the steelheads second line behind Martone. He’s 6’1+ and nearly 200 pounds so has size.
Could be a real find in the sixth round. It’ll take a few years for him to develop but he’ll be an interesting guy to watch this year.
I’m still going Stromgren as he’s got the talent and he’ll get one more solid shot this year to make it, but I like Lane’s potential quite a bit.
I said Phillips. I know, it seems like a reach. But honestly, this guy has a different vibe to him. The kids an absolute beauty, massive size at 6'6, 232 pounds, shockingly good skating for a man of his sheer size ( I read he skates like a guy 6" shorter) and honest-to-goodness mean streak, coupled with the fact he is still fairly raw. I'm excited to see what Minnesota can do to elevate his game even higher. Kid has 4/5 upside with potential for PK specialist if he continues to hone his skills. I'm so excited for this kid, and am going to be watching his progress with great interest!

I actually agree with you, but he's such a long shot at this point that I'm not voting for him just yet. He's going to have a loooooong development curve before we see if he lives up to that potential.
If he does turn out to be a player, he'll be a bigger beast than even Crazy Bacon Legs can adequately describe.
