Please let this be a quiet day for Conroy, hopefully a Ras trade and a few RFA signings.

Only things I’ve heard so far this morning:
Vladar may also get an offer from EDM.
Rasmus situation is very fluid, almost no chance he returns on good terms. Feeling is they need to remove this from the room at this point. Lots of interest, that bloody extension and BS drama surrounding it continues into this morning.
Hanley could return as 7th d-man
CGY not afraid to exercise a youth movement this year. Kids will have every chance to take spots from the veterans. Fully expect to see good competition.
Zary and Frost are a priority for Craig, but could see one used as trade bait for the right deal.
Won’t see Calgary signing any bubble players in UFA market
Big fish hunting or trades, priority remains young under 25 players to build for future, we’ve got the vets
Coleman came up in discussions with Dallas, but not sure CGY looking to trade

For centers, not at all. Boeser and Ehlers at wing and a couple defenceman like Gavrikov.
Maybe the flames look at a goalie if Vladar chooses to sign elsewhere. Allen? Vanecek?

Are you saying CC is mad at Anderson for not accepting a trade and sign? Not sure why he would be mad? He pretty much painted himself into a corner

A Motivated Seller situation means the expectations for a Andersson return might be tempered.

I love Coleman, one of my favourite Flames.
But if a deal is to be had with Dallas then do it.
It's good for the player, good for the Flames, don't overthink it.

Mad? No
Frustrated? Yes
Disappointed? Absolutely, both sides had met a number of times and discussed the possibility of moving to a contender. Very amicable conversations and in good faith, then Andersson’s agent pulls the “only VGK” card and things go south.

Are there any big fish left? At least ones that might fit CGY? I could see Gavrikov, I guess but I doubt he wants to come here. Ehlers and Boeser don't make much sense. Burns or Orlov maybe?

None in UFA that make sense to me.
Before the Hanley signing I was told they could sign a depth D but that’s likely Hanley.
They do want a physical presence, so perhaps they could be Jeannot.

Are we expecting any offer sheets for Zary/Frost? Up to $4.68 mil is just a second round pick. I don’t see any other centers reasonably worth offersheeting around that range, and the whole league is starved for anyone who can even remotely play 2C. Not that Flames wouldn’t likely match at that # but if that’s the case why aren’t they friggin signed already.
Maybe Ryan McLeod/Jack McBain could be some other options for teams looking to snag a guy. Rossi/Vilardi/McTavish/Voronkov would all probably wouldn’t even sign for that little.

He didn't paint himself into a corner - they were cooperating, and then Andersson pivoted. Now Conroy has to pivot as well, and paly hardball.
He has every right to be pissed. It won't stop him from doing his job though.

Looking at our roster the guys I would try and move would be Coleman, Andersson for sure and Sharangovich.
Coleman because we have way to many young wingers that can fill his role.
Andersson for obvious reasons
Sharangovich because he doesn’t fit the team style
Free agents I would look at would be Boeser or Jake Allen. But reasonably speaking I bet the Flames are not in on any big named UFAs. They are all too old. But the are probably going to have to do it in the next year or two. The Roster needs more offense.

I agree. I think they gave Andersson his chance and he screwed them. I would do whatever is best for the team now.
