Probably pissed a captain won the fitness testing that isn't him

Seriously, how do they cut Pelletier? Guy is super well liked and he's not making it through waivers.
I think he gets at least a couple months even if he doesn't seem to "earn" it in training camp. I'd be really shocked otherwise... If he excels somewhere else, ouch.
Enjoyed that, but now I feel bad knowing who was cut or waived. Or who might be. Makes you remember these are (for the most part) very young athletes.
The extended piece on Solovyov and his baby airing on the day he gets cut...
But he's got a one way deal in year two so this isn't as bad and likely the expectation they laid out for him... having the AHL team in the same city is huge for creating a culture and not upending young guys when they get promoted or demoted.

I believe Conroy hinted at this as a reason Frk signed with Calgary. He knows he is a guy that may have to move up and down to get another NHL shot. It’s a bonus for guys with families to not have to change cities when it happens. Probably the same with Tinordi I bet.
I know we’re not talking about superstars, but anything that can help build organizational depth is a good thing. Especially if it adds good veterans that can set a good example for the prospects.
