Lipinski too. He is unsigned and could play for the Wranglers.

Basha was incredibly impressive last night. I thought he would look undersized but looks about the same size as Zary.

Taking a while to get to 5000

Considering their next game is on the road against Vancouver (I think its in Abbotsford) I expect a bunch of kids in that lineup.

Really really weird to me that Morin didn't get a game before being sent down
Battaglia too for that matter.

Not surprised by any of them really. Misa was always going to have to climb the mountain of wingers to stay longer. And defense is stacked stacked stacked with competition so Mews also had a huge hill to climb.

Could be based on what they saw in practice.

Yeah maybe.
But generally you'd give those guys a game just to get a taste.
Morin got a game last year but yeah maybe they haven't loved his game in practice or in development camp.
But Battaglia just like Basha is a second round pick of the team - usually you give those guys at least a game to get a "Taste" of the NHL and then you send them down.

Basha is about 6 months older than Battaglia. Probably why he looks so much better as well.
Battaglia needs more seasoning and could see two more years including this one in Major Junior, might as well start playing some games to do it rather than meaningless preseason practice and games, in my opinion. Basha will be turning 20 next year, so he will be in the A. Conroy probably just looking long term and sees a kid (Battaglia) who is two years away from pro still.

On D we haven't even seen Bean or Bahl play a preseason game yet I don't think. D group is stacked like I said. Morin and Mews never really stood a chance.

Suspect you’re right. Might be sending a little message, more so to Morin.

Morin actually had a really decent year. He just didn't see the pucks bounce as well as they did the previous year. He played more minutes and generated more shots on goal this year than last year.
I think he spent the year working on his overall game. He was a younger draft pick (just turned 19 this spring), so he was always destined for Major Junior for at least one more year, i believe.

Bean played against Seattle, but no Bahl as of yet. Also I suspect Bahl's issue isn't an upset stomach.

Morin is a casualty of the depth chart. It would have been good for him to get some pre season reps, but there is a pretty intense tryout happening, that he isn't really a pat of.
