I just don't know what Arizona's endgame is? Like everyone says oh they are acquiring all this draft capital, etc. but then they are also trading away young players like Chychrun that could be part of a decent core.

Arizona is a feeder for the rest of the league.They amass draft capital then once their players develop they can't afford to pay their players a competitive salary so they trade them for....more draft capital. Rinse, repeat.

My guess is they're going to be scorched earth (fake player salaries to reach the floor) until they move into their new arena. That'll probably still be 4-5 seasons away. Chychrun would be gone as a UFA by then. While doing that, they're acquiring draft picks in the hope that these players are ready by then.

Yes. He has concussion problems and has had something like 13 in his career. The most recent one was scary in that he was hardly touched.

It really does feel like the Coyotes have been doing this kind of stuff for so long that they exist solely as a feeder team in the league that develops players and aids other teams with salary cap troubles. I don't see an end to this until they start drafting better as they have missed on a lot of high picks over the years.
