when you add college and European players and a few too old to join, the prospect pool looks quite better than this list

That's ok. Flames have an absolute superstar arriving soon after years of painstaking genetic breeding. Rhett Rhineheart will be coming.
I look forward to future camps where they bring "Big Al" McCrimmon, or Gary Regehr.

Not a ton of surprises on the roster, aside from maybe Wolf and Pelletier being included. But I get the logic: the club tendency has been unsigned prospects and players entering their first or second ELC season.

Interesting that the Canucks invited Max Namestnikov. I believe his father played for the Canucks and that he is draft eligible in the upcoming draft. He's a really small player, but has some skill.
