Default Holocaust a "myth"/Move Israel to Canada

Believe it or not, these are actually NEW comments from this guy. He's really on a roll.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has described the Holocaust as "a myth" and suggested that Israel be moved to Europe, the United States, Canada or Alaska.

http://edition.cnn.com/2005/WORLD/me...ael/index.html

We could put Israel in Saskatchewan . . . . everyone's leaving there anyway.

Agree or disagree with the Iranian President?

Since his comments are only for domestic consumption, according to some wits on this board, what would that say about ordinary Iranians?

The guy is a certified lunatic who is hell bent on the eradication of an entire people.

But no problem...just leave him alone and he will go away.

This sound eerily familiar to anyone in regards to a certain wingnut in Germany in the 30's?

Mind boggling.

And reading more about him here, seems to be more similarities between this current wingnut and the wingnut of the 30's.

And Iran wonders why the rest of the world doesn't want them to have nukes!

As I was reading through the post I was thinking the same thing, and then BAAAM - you go out and say it - bravo.

Me thinks the CIA and Isreal version (cant remember the name, are going to be putting his name on a playing card - maybe the Joker).

I think we should move Iran to Saskatchewan. Then maybe the US would pay more attention us.

There are a lot of Iranians, especially students who are yearning for a more liberal state.

I disagree. I think he's reflective of his culture and evironment. Sadly, these people have it drilled into their heads from the day they are born that it is not only acceptable to hate Jews, but it is rewarded. Until that chain is broken this problem will continue to exist as there are millions just like "this wingnut" who will promote the same belief. And no, this sounds nothing like Hitler.

Tranny, I usually agree with you on most of your points, but this one I disagree with too. In a political sense, you mention Ahmedinejad sounds like Hitler, but then you suggest we should leave him alone and he will go away. Did not appeasement fail in the 1930's and was one of the main problems that lead to World War II? Your comments are erily remeniscent of Nevel Chamberlain. Shouldn't the global community be concerned that this guy continues to spew anti-Semitic rhetoric in the faces of Western leaders? I'm not sure turning a blind eye on this is the right thing to do....History has taught us well that ignorance is not always bliss.

I guess your sarcasm detector was set on low. Tranny is all for going in and removing anyone who speaks harshly about America or Israel.

The Mistake started when we sectioned off a piece of the middle east for Israel, in Hindsight it would have been much easier to create a state somewhere else. It wasn't known at the time how much this would destablize the region.

It just isn't fesable to relocate the Jewish people again. How much would it solve?

Other than that, this guy is seriously out of his mind. Holocaust a Myth? Eradication of Israel?

Also Tranny I wonder... 20 years ago would you have advocated for invading China or Russia?

I believe that was the exact point Tranny was trying to make. I took his "leave him alone..." comment to be sarcasm.

EU foreign ministers were likely to discuss Ahmadinejad's comments during an EU summit Thursday, commission spokeswoman Emma Udwin said.

As we all know from the very successful Nuke-negoatiations that the EU will realy lay down the law! I mean.....they are discussing it. Oops, sorry. LIKELY to discuss it. Iran will be running for cover in no time.

This was no mistake!!!!!!

The Jewish people have 3000-4000 years of history with the land of Israel!!!! There has been a continual Jewish presence in Israel for that time! Israel is the biblical, national and spiritual homeland of the Jewish people. Yes, other peoples and religions have ties to Israel and are free to practice in Israel.

But to think that the world just threw darts at a map to pick the location of a Jewish State, or that is was a simple political debate by diplomats is wrong. Ti presume that the Jewish State could have been in Africa (a thought at one time) or in the Americas is akin to telling the Northern Irish they can have an independent state in New Zealand.

" It just isn't fesable to relocate the Jewish people again" - As if forced population relocation by the Assyrians, Babylonians, Romans, and Spanish weren't enough.

The mistake is the Arab nations' refusal to accept that other religions have ties to Israel and Jerusalem.

Ummm...no. Why would we have? Actually im not even advocating military action against Iran right now, much to many people's chagrin im sure.

Russia nor China were ever gonna drop a nuke on anyone, but they had to have the ability to do so to keep others in line. They also never advocated the eradication of an entire culture of people based on religious differences.

This clown in Iran would do the first thing, and has suggested the latter.

The only thing that the Iranian president said that makes any sense; why was it that Isreal was created there? I would think that if any land was to be given up; wouldn't Germany have had to give up some of theirs?
