Panthers GM Dave Penney recently invited newly aquired forward Trent Hunter to Newfoundland for a good home cooked dinner. Also joining Penney and Hunter were current Newfoundland residents Jason King and Michael Ryder.
"It is great to be back for a visit" said Penney. "I have been very busy with the club and have made a lot of moves, but the roster that is now in place is a good one."
Penney has gone out of his way to aquire King and Ryder who already reside in Newfoundland. It is rumored that Hunter is also considering buying a summer home there becasue of its unique beauty and tranquility.
"I love it here" said Hunter. "This is truely God's country".
Already being nicknamed the "Newfoundland Connection", King and Ryder are looking forward to playing with each other this season.
