Tough to count anything after 4-0 though IMO because they clearly quit after that and were making even worse decisions in a an Effort to get a goal.
1-0: Bad goal
2-0: Nice tip but Smith looked just lost postionally and waving at the first floater with his glove.
3-0: Can’t fault Smith for the 3 on 2 and letting the guy walk right up the middle but his rebound control was horrible all night
4-0: Horrible rebound on a weak shot.
So 2 soft goals and 2 that while not soft you hope your goalie could at least make a big save on one of them.
The rest of the second period looks a lot different if it’s 1-0 Pens instead of 4-0, so yeah I think a lot can be blamed on the goalie.
Defensive zone coverage needs to be blamed too and the team could help out the goalie but really outside of the 3-0 goal I didn’t hate how the Flames played in the first 21 minutes and it was 4-0.
