Default Best Hockey Card You've Owned or Cherished?

Briefly mentioned in another thread from today. With it still being August, what is your all time favorite hockey card you've ever owned?

My pride and joy is a Bobby Orr Topps rookie card mint condition.

I'd also be interested to hear which Flames rookie card would be worth the most and perhaps why?

The first rookie card I ever got in a pack was a Theo Fleury when I was 12. Still have it to this day.

Mine is a Phil Esposito O Pee Chee subset card from the 72 Summit series against the Russians. Best of all is I still have it in my collection!

90-91 Upper Deck Gary Roberts hockey card

Played minor hockey for a couple of years in the early 90s. Found out an NHL'er was coming to hold a hockey school at my local rink in Twillingate, Newfoundland . Honestly didn't even know who the guy was (offhand only knew a few stars like Gretzky, Messier, Patrick Roy) so me and my brother were rummaging through our hockey card collection to see if we had one of him. Sure enough we did. Got a bunch signed, plus a photo.

Ed Belfour rookie card. That was my prized piece in the hockey card collection.

Traded an autographed lefleur for a 1/1 kiprusoff plate that was used to print the base set cards.

The Upperdeck one where he has a white mask? Or the Proset one where he has his eagle mask and his glove is freezing the puck on his blocker in a standing position?

I don’t think it’s particularly valuable, but I got an autographed one of these when I was a kid:

I own a Gretzky rookie card. It's not mint, but I would say good. Not sure I cherish it, but it's my most valuable hockey card. Got it in a pack as a kid. Had no idea what I had until many years later when I heard his rookie cards were selling for hundreds of dollars. Checked my old cards and bingo.

A Fleury rookie card that he signed when I was at a book signing of his.

Come to think of it that's the only hockey card I've ever owned.

I have Wayne’s 1979-1980 (2nd season) card around here somewhere. I was 7 at the time. I customized the card by adding a pointy ear and darkened the eyebrow to make it more evil. With black pen.

Anyone of my vintage knows we were never to use black pen because it was permanent.

I don’t care that’s it’s not worth $500 or whatever anymore.

Had a Patrick Roy rookie card, gave it as a gift to my now father in law before I married my wife.

I have a small card from 55-56 or something, that's pretty cool.

I found a 9.5 graded ovi rookie and a 9.5 graded Crosby rookie

I have another card in my collection that I would classify as I'm not proud to own. It's a 1970 Dale Tallon rookie card - First ever player drafted by the Canucks.

The only reason I still own it is that I haven't found a die hard Canucks fan I could fleece Now if you know of one send me a PM

Somewhere in a box I have a Yzerman rookie card that is perfect, that was always my favorite when I was younger.
