3 years take the 4th liner to 34 years old? Hopefully it's under 2m per year. Solid add though. That's 3 important go to guys from Carolina coming in to bolster the existing core.

That's going to be the 2018 Treliving soundbite. "We want guys that WANT to be here, that are excited to be here"

I re-watched that draft day video on flames tv when Tree talks about the trade. He pretty much yelled that sentence at Ryan Leslie.

Sounds great, but how much money did he leave on the table? Anything over $2.5 and we may have the next Stajan on our hands.

Will be interesting to see what his AAV is, and how Peters utilizes him in the lineup. I am still apprehensive about it, but hopefully he comes in and really helps the scoring depth on this team.

Gotta love a 4th-liner who scores 38 points.

For reference, 38 points (!) is enough to match the following players' 2017-18 production for the Flames combined:

Kris Versteeg (8)
Curtis Lazar (12)
Matt Stajan (12)
Chris Stewart (3)
Nick Shore (3)

Now I guess I should finally look and see how close Carolina came to making the playoffs.

It was recently said that if an agent says X# of teams it really means closer to 1/2 that.Still - 10 teams in the chase is still pretty damn impressive.

Good chance the Flames middle six will be largely interchangeable in terms of icetime depending on who's producing and which combos are clicking.

I was only generally positive towards the idea before the Corsica guy came out and said his stats suggested he's actually pretty great.

Yeah. Thats the point. Hefty upgrade on a gross bottom six effort last year. and he one of Peters pets which is super helpful.
