@RogMillions: Hearing News bad for Kris Versteeg .. his entire season in jeopardy. Lower body injury may require surgery.. similar injury to 2012 year. On IR will watch to see if an LTIR candidate. Big loss for #Flames

That's too bad for Kris. I'm not sure if he'll receive another contract after such a catastrophic injury. Hopefully he can recover quick and get back to regular routine asap. As for the opportunity this gives for one of our younger guys, this may be the chance Mangiapane or Hrvik was looking for.

That sucks. I know he's gotten a lot of hate on here this year but for his contract I think Versteeg has brought a lot of value to the Flames. The PP definitely looks worse without him on it. Hope he makes a full recovery.

That really sucks. I thought he was decent on the PP. But this should give a young player a chance to show what they've got. Looking forward to seeing who is called up.

Sympathy in this business is entirely dependent on your contract. If Versteeg had another year left at $3M, there'd be a movement for this to be career ending. On a 1/1.75, one can only feel sadness.

Kris has been a good player for us and will be missed if he's gone for the season.
Hopefully whoever is given the chance to take his spot takes full advantage of it.

You people who want to bring Iggy back are insane. Nothing left in the tank.
Bad luck for Versteeg. Hate the way the coach feels the need to have him on the point for the pp, but he’s been pretty good for us, won us a few games over the last couple seasons.
A mostly underrated player IMO.
