Perhaps the most depressing part of this season is that our genius general manager traded our unprotected first round pick for a second pair defenseman.

Watch that pick become Svechnikov.

This was a more frustrating loss than our last 2 or 3 or 4. Starting to question the coaching staff. Horrible line-up decisions, bad ice time management, almost no in-game adjustments. They constantly send out players like Bartkowski, Stajan or Brouwer only for us to see them completely fail, while actual talented players sit on the bench. It makes ZERO sense. They need to get their heads out of their butt. It's so obvious. We're not icing our best line-up and it's hurting us. What a surprise. Our specialty teams stink and we still have NO scoring from our bottom 6. Helloooooo.

Flames scored ONE goal against f'n Lehtonen and a team playing back to back.
BRUTAL stuff.

I’ll reiterate what I said in the game thread. I could probably list a dozen or so highly questionable coaching decisions that game. But don’t worry, we have a thread that says Gulutzan is a good coach. Case closed.

I think I am done until we get a coaching staff that knows what they’re doing. Just look at the ice times tonight and when those players were deployed and try not to laugh.

This one was 100% a case of the team being out coached.

Great game. I really enjoyed it. Tough loss but Gulutzan has these guys on the right track.

Flames were 3 Brouwer shifts away from pulling this one out. So close.

The trade for Hamonic is fine. It’s the head coach hire that is the problem.

Can we send Bennett down and bring up Mangiapane to play with Jankowski. He's got a goal and assist so far tonight and 14 points to lead the team. Bennett needs to find his confidence and touch down in the AHL and we need to get another line going.

Game ruined by a horrible call. I'm usually not one to blame the refs but that was a disgrace.

Okay I said Sutter wouldnt come. But Treliving should call him up and see if he can bring him in.

Pretty pitiful group. They do close to nothing out there. Looks like a team that has been poorly constructed. No toughness. Close to no offense. Clearly no identity. Extremely concerning.

My concern is that was after Gulutzan called his entire team out today in the media. That sort of response indicates that they don't respect him enough to pick up their play. Very worrisome. As good as GG might be at Xs and Os, he might have lost the room.

We shall see how this plays out, but nobody looks particularly motivated out there.

Garbage team is garbage.

How many wide open nets did they completely miss? How bad is the PK? How pathetic is the PP? How stupid are these players?

Team will be passed by the Oilers within 2 weeks.

Glass, Brouwer, and Stajan should realistically never get ice time on any team in this league, yet for some reason they get it in spades on the Flames.

That's step one in cleaning up this mess.
