Is there a team out there willing to put him on their NHL roster given what he's shown so far? I'm not convinced but if you are right the. Oh well, the flames have several forward prospects that look to be ahead of him right now

Shinkaruk looks like he will be the classic case of a guy who can't adapt to a third or fourth line role defensively, but isn't good enough to crack the top six. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the KHL in the next couple years.

Because we're desperately hurting for a 3rd Line Centre?
Well no not exactly -- just always liked his game when he was up. I think the writing was on the wall that he couldn't be a center here but looking at his faceoff stats Granlund on the wing here could have made some sense.
I know why we let him go though - Tre was quite open about it - but still wish we had him over a waiver wire Shinkaruk.
That said I don't even think Granny would fit anywhere on the wings here and definitely not at center so its a wash.
- Shinkaruk is 22 and all of a sudden he's a career AHLer?
- We'd rather have Granlund? Why? So he could be the Heat's top line centre? Who here thinks Shinkaruk wouldn't make the 'Nucks opening night roster and put up similar numbers to Granlund?
