Yeah I know a lot of people who took a vacation day today, but Friday is the only technical stat. No one I knew got paid to be off today (some got told that today was a day they had "off" without pay however).
I do know a handful of government services are on a holiday day (Enmax, City Of Calgary Roads, etc.) but I have no idea if they are being paid.

Where I used to work (O&G Engineering), we "worked" an extra 0.5 unpaid hours a day and on long weekends we would also then get the next day off.
But no, I dont have it off today

I know Provincial employees are being paid for today, so not 100% sure about City and Enmax but likely yes. I expect it's due to union contract since it's not a stat, Good Friday was the stat.

my building's empty anyways, so I can't tell if people have the day off or if it's business as usual.

I'm pretty close to a Provincial employee (AHS) and I'm working today.
I thought it was federal employees that got it off?

Our company lets you substitute religious holidays. I swapped today (which we get as a holiday) for some random Catholic holiday in August about Mary.

Girlfriend does, she's at Nexen.
I don't. I'm pretty much a provincial employee.

Are you a teacher with CBE? Both my kids are out of school today, so I thought it was a day off for teachers. Maybe a PD day?
Some provincial government employees definitely have today off, but it's business as usual in private industry from what I've seen.

O&G. At work. Even the Calgary parking authority doesn't consider Monday a holiday in regard to free street parking.

This. I think it's just federal employees that get it these days, in terms of the different levels of government

Nope, but have to take day off each year (PDO/Vacation) as schools closed.
Friday was the Stat holiday.
CRA, schools, other federal employees, etc are those getting the extra day off.
Never heard of most businesses getting Easter Monday off as a paid vacation day.
