Hamilton for Trouba trade. Why not?
I would endorse this trade if it could get done, even if we lose a pick or another prospect to get it done.

wow. No.
Please stop this, Hamilton is already better than Trouba and Trouba is reportedly asking for big money and wants to play in the US anyway.
I wonder how long it would be until people would offer Trouba for Lindholm or something. Grass is always greener.

So you would give up a pick or another prospect for a guy who at best, might be about the same level, but will cost more in money?

Trouba also claims that he wants to play the right side, we need guys who can play the left side. Not that I believe that to be the reason for one second.

I don't know what the Jets would ask for(probably D.Hamilton+M.Tkachuk for Trouba, the ask is gigantic). If you could do get Trouba for D.Hamilton+1st Round pick(top15 protected), than you do it. But I don't think the Flames are going to trade Dougie, they just signed him to a long term contract.

Ugh. If the last few days are indicative of how Flames fans will be this year I think I'll take a break from this forum.

I simply don't understand the Hamilton hate. Can a guy not go on a 3 game slump without being run out of town? Newsflash, no one has been outstanding on the Flames except maybe Johnson, Backlund and Frolik.
Hamilton was more than adequate last night.

Lol, Hamilton + a 1st for Trouba? That's insane. I wouldn't even do Hamilton for Trouba straight up, let alone need to throw in a 1st.

Would rather not trade for Trouba given the circumstances.
Wants out of Winnipeg, makes up BS story that it's about the right side and not Winnipeg. Represented by Kurt Overhardt. Wants a ton of money.

Pretty standard case of "the grass is always greener" right here.
Yep, yep.

I doubt Trouba's value is low enough that we could get him for Freddie.
Flames need to add.

Why would we do that? And why would you entertain adding to the deal?
Hamilton's better than Trouba.

Winnipeg wants a LH defenseman in return, or at least they should given their depth chart.

I would do the trade straight up if Trouba would sign for less than Hamilton. I like his style of play better, and feel he will be better defensively over his career and is the more physical player. Given the number of offensive D prospects we have, I think it would be a good trade.
But if his ask is more, then nope.

The asking price is a young cornerstone Dman + a 6th overall pick?
Citation please.
