Default Sportsnet Insider Predictions

Some pretty interesting predictions here.

http://www.sportsnet.ca/hockey/nhl/s...tions-2016-17/

Of note of interest is Francis's picks. Lots of love for the Jets and Oilers, nothing for the Flames. Big surprise there.

Well without any thoughts on their choices/answers, it really is a bit of a waste to even read. My opinion anyway.

If they make the playoffs, he will be a finalist at least imo.

Didn't want to start a new thread, but the TSN panel also gave the Flames a lot of love last night on their Season preview show.
The Habs and the Flames were the only 2 Canadian teams to make the playoffs, with Calgary they predict as one of the 2 wildcard spots (The Blues the other wild card)

Also surprisingly realistic about the Oilers. Maybe they are finally learning from being burned so many times

Some of those predictions are just hilarious. Christine Simpson thinks that McDavid will get 102 points playing 75 games and Crosby will win the Art Ross. I guess that is possible, but come on.

It's almost the kiss of death though as like Hartley he would be exceeding expectations and sometimes there's only one way to go the following season which is down. Maybe being a runner up would be better from Gulutzan's perspective.

Winnipeg is the most overrated team in Canada. Outside of Laine it's just a bunch of mediocre junk IMO.

For Gulutzan to win the Adams the Flames would need to be a top team

most are expecting them to compete for a spot, just making the playoffs won't be a big suprise

Wow... 105 and 108 points for McDavid over 75GP?

Patrick Kane just had 106 in 82 in his best season ever 9 seasons into the league..... But sure, alright.

I actually agree. Not really junk, but a collection of good players. But no great/elite ones to really push them over - with an exception of Laine if he reaches his ceiling..but we're still a long ways out from then.

An outside chance of Scheifele joining that club too.

But I thought he was nothing but the team's mouthpiece?

Kyprios had the best answer of 97 points. I don't think he is correct, but I thought more than one person would choose McDavid's number.
