Sorry I don't have a bigger write up for today, lost track of time last night... 15 medal events today, 9 sports taking place!

Saxon and Schalk are facing a Brazilian team now on TSN2.

The Men's Field Hockey team faces the Netherlands at 10:30 on Sportsnet.

Canoe-Slalom is on TSN2 at 10:30.

CANWNT face Germany at 13:00 on Sportsnet

Women 10m Synchronized Diving is on CBC at 15:00

Chances for more medals tonight in swimming!

Canada's beach volleyball team tied 1 set a piece against the Brazilians. One more set to win.

For tennis (according to Tennis Canada's tweets)

Genie/Gaby at 11:30 am (MT) TSN.
Vasek/Daniel at at 2:30 pm (MT) TSN.

I hope the times are correct.

I've been using this link (http://olympics.cbc.ca/news/article/...-rio-2016.html) as a reference, and can't find anything for today regarding tennis.

that's a pretty good estimate.

Vasek/Daniel are 5th on court 4
Genie/Gaby are 3rd on court 2

so it depends on the other matches

And if you watched the swimming last night, you know we have our meme of the Games, and something that will likely be in the running with Crying Jordan for most overused meme: Phelps game face

This might be the only way for us Dutch to beat Canada in hockey

Other news from the Dutch camp; Gymnast Yuri van Gelder, who qualified for the ring finals, was sent home by the Dutch National Olympic Commitee for violating the team rules. He left the Olympic village and took a couple of beers in a bar in the city.
Already suspended for cocaine abuse in 2009 and missing out on the 2012 Olympics, this was to be the crown of his career.
Once nicknamed 'Lord of the Rings' ... Now nicknamed Lord of the Drinks'

Such an idiot.

that's important, need to get the quarters to fall back into repechages later. Loser Round of 16 goes home.

Yip, very.

Couple this with their win in the World Cup over SA and it has been a good year for the Cherry Blossoms (I know that don't call themselves that anymore).
