I went with Andersson again ... my second time not voting for the eventual winner (had Gillies over Jankowski as well).
Have concerns over his commitment for sure, but what he's done in the OHL suggests a great career is there for the taking. Take it!

Mangiapane. He's lit the OHL up for three straight years, scoring at a torrid pace and showing the constant growth you expect to see in a top developing player.
24-27-51 in 68 games as a rookie. 7 points in 11 playoff games that season.
43-61-104 in 68 games in year 2. 10 points in 9 playoff games that season.
51-55-106 in only 59 games in year 3. 21 points in 15 playoff games that season.
Hard not to be excited for this kid.

This is going to be one of those overwhelming ones where you may as well just put the winner at 6, the loser at 7, and move on to polling for #8.

went Andersson.
Guy has been a beast in the OHL, another strong year last year. would have likely been much higher in this year's polls if not for the recent negative mentions regarding his fitness at the dev camp that is fresh in people's minds.

Went with shinkaruk. He didn't look out of place last season in the nhl.

I have Pribyl. Real wild card for me. I can see him potentially doing serious damage in the NHL this coming year.

Pribyl as well. Highly touted, likely NHL ready, fills a need (big RW), could move up and down the lineup

Shinkaruk will be an NHL player.
Not as sure about Andersson.
Shinkaruk til he's gone.

Shinkaruk for his sheer gonna-play-in-the-nhl-ability.

Also, someone voted Mattson, and I should point out that he is a freshly drafted forward in the later rounds.
Adam Ollas Mattson is the defenseman who had a pretty decent prospect camp recently.
There are two Mattsons, be sure of which one you're picking.

There's some serious overvaluing of Shinkaruk on CP.

Scoring Winger

Despite being a little unfit and a little bit lazy, I went with Andersson. The guy is out of shape and still had back to back fantastic seasons for Barrie. If he can get his act together he should be a great top 4, puck moving D in the not too distant future. I thought he looked great at training camp last year.

How do you figure? I know you voted Mangiapane, and I like him a lot too, but is he much different? A highly offensive player who is undersized and did well in junior? The only difference in my mind is that Shinkaruk is farther along in the system and has had a sample size at the NHL level where he looked like he belonged. Until eat bread gets the same chance, you have nothing to really compare, and it's possible that the NHL is too big for Mangiapane.
I think seeing them both at training camp will probably sort a lot of that out.

Not necessarily a mistake. There are some who believe Mitchell Mattson has an extremely high ceiling.
