What is going on in FLA? Gudbranson was being talked about as future captain material now he's out the door with everyone else. McCann and a second is a pretty good return but still. Strange couple of weeks for FLA.

That's a high 2nd rounder going Florida's way. Interesting deal, I thought the Canucks were planning on McCann as part of their core moving forward.

With Jarred McCann gone, I wonder if it had to do with them possibly picking Dubois in the draft as they are overloaded with Center depth.

That seems like a fair deal from both teams standpoint, McCann looks like he will be a good second/third line center but defense is where games are won and from what I have seen of Gudbranson he is a good young defenseman who is huge with a mean streak so it seems pretty even.

Someone one mentioned in the trade thread a day or two ago that McCann was being shopped. Good call whomever that was. PLD and Brown have to be Canucks targets now.

From what I've heard of Gudbranson he is severely lacking in puck-moving skills, pretty much a d-zone only defenseman. Not exactly what you win with in today's NHL. Hope he gets a massive contract.
