How to set calendar to give reminder before start of event and before end of event?

Hi CP Brain-Trust.

I don't know if there is a setting that I am missing, but I was hoping that there would be a way to set up an alert to indicate both that an event is about to occur and about to end. Eg) reminder 15 minutes before start of the event, and reminder 15 minutes before the end of the event.

I know most people don't care about when an event ends, but with kids in various programs, I tend to go out somewhere during their classes and would like to be notified when I should should start heading back without checking the time constantly.

I guess this could be easily accomplished by setting 2 events for beginning / end. That seems rather barbaric though, and I thought an Enterprise calendar would have that feature, though I clearly can't find it.

What calendar platform are you using? iCal? Google Calendar? Do you want a mobile app for iOS? Android? Or to do all this on a desktop?

Well, it is for an Exchange server calendar that I use. It syncs up with Outlook on my computer and on my iPhone.

Just figured that there must be a setting somewhere when adding new calendar events to also specify a reminder for the end of an event.
