Modem & Wifi Setup for Home

So I am having new internet set up in my home Sept 21. It will be 200Mbps from TWC.

I tried checking with their customer service to let me know what modem model I will be getting for my install if I choose not to use my own modem. Surprisingly, service doesn't know what the stock model they use. Modem rental is like $8/mo I think.

So I turn to the nerds on CP for help.

This list shows the currently approved modems for TWC.

Obviously, I will need to get one of the 300Mbps modems, the question is which one? I have this wireless router too, so I don't need a modem+wireless router. It can be just modem (unless of course someone recommends differently). http://www.bestbuy.com/site/netgear-...uId=1308053002

I would go with either one of the 300mbps modem onlys. If you are happy with your current wireless router then I would stick with that. Not knowing what you have currently as your setup, I would suggest you ask them to put the modem in "bridge mode" (not sure if TWC allows that, Shaw in Canada does). Bridge mode would make the modem transparent and allow you to run your wireless router as the device controlling all the network traffic.
