Going with the 25 and under with 65 or less games played at the NHL level which actually works pretty closely with my own rule of thumb of "anyone not too old that hasn't been penciled in".
Therefore Granlund, Ortio and Ferland are still prospects, with Jooris 5 games light of the 65 game limit.
Monahan and Gaudreau are young but clearly established and no longer prospects. Bennett may be penciled in but he's only played 12 NHL games and is a prospect.
I'm going with Rasmus Andersson.
He just had a 64 pt season in the OHL (in only 67gp) as a 18 year old.
Wotherspoon's best Jr. year was 37 pts, even Brodie's best was only ever 50.
I know there is much more to a defenceman than pts, but these are pretty great stats from Razz, and from all accounts he has a pretty well rounded game.
Wotherspoon is certainly closer to the NHL, but I never saw him as more than a bottom pairing guy...maybe a #4 at very best...
Andersson looks to have much better potential to me...
I like Bill Arnold in this spot too....went with Razz this time.

Put me in the "prospects who have proven something at the professional level should be rated above fresh draftees" camp (with some obvious exceptions). I pick 'Spoon.

Going with Arnold again...the guy has progressed significantly every year since being drafted. He's a big body, cerebral, right-handed, 200-ft player who is excellent on face-offs. Plus he is our secret weapon to keep Johnny here long-term ;-)
People who see his upside as a 4th line centre are understating his skill-set - he has 2nd line potential and could even be a great fit on RW in the future (sliding in for face-offs). He will be on the club before Poirier.
Culkin again for me. People disregard him because he was a later round pick, but he's progressed nicely and had a good first pro season. Just something about him tells me he's going to be in the NHL.

Crazy to think we are out of the top 10 and there are still 5 second round picks on the board.
And it's not like we're reaching here and putting some long shot prospects ahead of these guys.
4 of the top 10 are 1st round picks
2 of the top 10 are 2nd round picks
2 of the top 10 are 3rd round picks
One being Gillies, named top NCAA goalie
One being Hickey, invited to Team Canada
1 of the top 10 is a 5th rounder in Ferland, who destroyed an entire NHL team
1 of the top 10 is a 6th rounder in Ortio, who many believe is our future #1
Still leaves
Hunter smith - 2nd
Mason Macdonald - 2nd
Tyler Wotherspoon - 2nd
Rasmus Andersson - 2nd
Pat Seiloff - 2nd
Kenny Morrisson - Highly touted UFA dman
The top 15 is really stacked and this is not even taking guys like Agostino, Arnold, Rafikov, Kulak and Culkin who quite a few a really high on.
It's a total transformation.

Wotherspoon again for me.
-Had a cup (of coffee!) in the NHL and hasn't looked out of place
-Had a very solid AHL campaign this year
-Continues to develop well
-6"2, 209lbs
-Might crack the roster this year

Went with Morrison again. Still a toss-up between him & Wotherspoon. Again chose Kenney because of offensive upside.
I also agree that MacDonald & Hunter Smith should be in the conversation here. I'd be more hesitant to vote for Rasmus Andersson simply because I haven't seen as much of him.
Carroll stuck around until the end of camp last year... Had a great year, is a large RW which we need desperately. I think he makes a strong case and excels. This guy needs some love and is under the radar/under appreciated. He's gonna make some noise.
