You know, around Christmas when Christmas Vacation was on, I was wondering, "Hey, whatever happened with Randy Quaid? Is he still insane and accusing the studios of trying to destroy him?"

Last thing I read about them states they are, allegedly because his wife is a prima facie Canadian citizen. He applied for permanent resident status 2 years ago but was denied. Haven't heard much about them until now.
MONTREAL — Actor Randy Quaid has been granted his release from a Montreal-area immigration detention centre after being arrested last week.
Quaid was nabbed on Thursday in Montreal, where he’s been living under the radar since January 2013.
An Immigration and Refugee Board member allowed him to be released from detention today after his father-in-law agreed to a $10,000 bond.
Quaid must abide by a number of other conditions, including keeping Canada Border Service Agency officials abreast of his whereabouts.
Sporting a massive beard and shoulder-length grey hair, Quaid says he’s ready to return to the United States to face one outstanding criminal charge.
Quaid and his Canadian wife fled north of the border in 2010 claiming they were the victims of persecution.
