What is the appropriate amount of time before he could tell that joke? It wasn't even offensive. Do you have a chart that shows what type of scenario can be joked about after a certain amount of time? South Park said it's 22.3 years, but that seems long. Does his joke offend you because you are blind yourself?

What's more, the joke isn't even making fun of the blind girl, it's making fun of referees.

Really love when pro sports teams do things like this, it's awesome when players really use their powers for good and in hockey that seems to be a lot of the time.

It pisses me off that more people haven't thanked the OP.
I had tears streaming down my face literally seconds into the video. Such a sad and uplifting video, simultaneously.

Sharp is the go to guy for the 'Hawks in PR campaigns...he also does PR for Illinois Lottery Commission when a "celebrity" delivers the prizes...google some of those, they are classics...Especially when Women are the recipient...the running joke on 'Hawk fan forums: "Damn, Sharp's a good looking man!" (posted by all genders!), and many hold him personally responsible for getting ladies to buy 'Hawk gear and buy tickets at the UC.
And many that have run into Sharp around town, and on the road, have said how affable and accommodating he is with photos and autographs.
On the Original Post, kid was totally elated, and Sharp has an ease with public adulation, Kid hugged him spontaneously, he didn't flinch. Too bad the Jets whomped us that game (and yesterday!).

When you hear someone say "this is the best day of my life", it really does hit home. We can go to hockey game at anytime and experience it with all of our senses. It's easy to take things for granted.
She's a beautiful soul. Great job by the Blackhawks.
This young man, who has a rare skin disease, recently had a behind the scenes experience with the Sentaors:

Very touching.
