I have to apologize for the short game day thread. I have a ridiculously busy day with a ton of family in town. On the upside, maybe there will be more discussion than normal in the thread today.
I'll keep my points short: Dallas is a bad team, but they have some elite players like Seguin, Benn, and Spezza. They also have an awful defense that is only better than Edmonton's last place goals against. None of their backups have a win this year and both have a GAA over 4.50. This is the perfect opponent for a Flames team that has been losing a lot and struggling to score…except for the fact that Lehtonen is coming off a shutout of the Canucks in his last game.
Backlund is skating again, but is nowhere close to playing. Ramo is available despite being sick yesterday, and Hiller is the confirmed starter.
If I remember correctly, didn't Benn and Seguin combine for 5 goals last time the Flames played them? I could be wrong, but it was something like that.
Gio and Brodie will have their work cut out for them tonight.
crucial game for sure!!!! for those of you that have purchased tickets, the flames provide you with a full seat to use, but you'll likely only need the edge........
I'll be watching this game from the comfort of my home, and yes, my hand will be jammed down my pants......

I used to dread watching the Stars as they used to be a boring team like the Coyotes but now I'm kind of excited to see them as Seguin is simply one of the best players in the league and they have good surrounding talent. Seguin and Benn feasted on the Flames last year which is kind of scary.
As for the game I guess it's going to come down to how many defensive breakdowns the Flames have and if any of the forwards can cash in on opportunities.

This could end up being an ugly game - ugly win, where the Flames get scored on a couple of times and scrape it out, or an ugly loss, where Seguin and Benn bury the Flames.
Going to call it 4-3 Flames in OT, Brodie feeding Hudler for the winner
I'm scared for this game, as a lot of their players are slumping and due to breakout. They have a dynamic duo that ripped us apart last time. Diaz and Engelland are a pairing. @#$!@$
