Default December 6 with eleven games!!

Once again a very busy Saturday OOT with a continuous tripleheader in Canada. Viewers in the Senators region will have a continuous quadruplet header! There are three matinee games, two of them start in the morning in the Pacific and Mountain timezones.

This is a good link from the CBC about the games today involving the canadian teams. The Oilers are made fun of in the article.

You are right, it is totally crazy as I just checked the game summary.

The Islanders were up 3-0 after the first period. Brodeur replaced Allen in net for the second period. The Blues come back to tie the game and then the Islanders took the lead again after two periods. The Islanders have scored in the last minute of both periods. This is nuts.

Every little bit of help the Flames can get this season is awesome.

I'm not a big Bob Cole fan, but that was great seeing him and Dick Irvin sharing stories and memories of Jean Beliveau with Strombo.

Rather than calling the game Hughson is going out of his way to educate us about the Canucks!

Habs don't look terribly interested in winning so far tonight. Only 1-0 Stars though.

Wow go Leafs. The Nucks looked like the much better team for most of the first but then Toronto scores 2 goals in 45 seconds.

Not a whole lot of chatter about the canucks hot start this year but you can tell it's not going to last.

Willie Desjardins teams play way too aggressive. They send 4 guys on every single rush and its worked so far just like it did for Brent Sutter's Flames in 2009-10 for the first quarter of the season.

Then other teams compile enough video to understand how to play against that strategy and they adjust.

canucks fans won't like hearing this but there are eerie similarities to last years team. One thing that's improved is that they actually roll 4 lines this year and won't wear down the Sedins killing penalties like last year. But anytime you have a new coach implementing a new style it tends to work well for the first part of the season until other teams adjust. Especially since most inter-conference games happen early on where other teams just don't understand how to play against each other strategically.

The canucks could very well be a playoff team but they aren't a top team in the conference and right now are getting unsustainable production from guys like Bonino. Expect to see them as a bubble team once all is said and done.

Couldn't you say pretty much exactly the same things about the Flames?
