Looks like a good move for the Ducks.
Bryzgalov is a better backup then LaBarbera and this will allow Gibson (when healthy) to develop in the AHL.

Is this the new thing now? Goalie joins you for practice and then you sign them?

The Ducks had this goalie once... can't remember his name....was one of the best in the league... unorthodox blocking style... let him go due a slump.... bet they wish they had him now.

well these guys aren't practicing with any teams... only way to see where their conditioning is at is to actually put them against NHL shooters.

what is unfortunate, is that moves like these will probably reduce the market for moving one of Ramo or Hiller if the Flames decide to go down that path.

You mean Bryzgalov? What you said describes him perfectly and he started with them. Everything has come full circle.

At the moment I'm hoping to keep that duo for the foreseeable future.

Does anyone else remember Bryz as a Duck stonewalling us in game 7 of the 06 quarterfinals?
