Icon59 Perron for Anisimov

Aaron Ward @TSNAaronWard
One of the trade options EDM is looking at for David Perron is with Columbus Blue Jackets.EDM focus maybe on center Artem Anisimov. #TSN

Aaron Ward @TSNAaronWard
CBJ brass John Davidson,Jarmo Kekelainen well familiar w/ Perron from their days w/ Blues.Perron one of many trade options EDM exploring.

Aaron Portzline @Aportzline
Hearing chatter that a deal between #CBJ and #Oilers is well along in the process. @TSNAaronWard mentions Perron and Anisimov as likely

Aaron Portzline @Aportzline
#CBJ did not have a scout in EDM, but don't really need input on Perron. Davidson and Kekalainen know Perron well from #stlblues days.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
Can't say with certainty an EDM-CBJ trade will be consummated but by all accounts they're working very hard to make something happen.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
See @TSNAaronWard's timeline for details. Perron and Anisimov primary names mentioned but others are also apparently being discussed.

Third line center on the 28th best team in the NHL, now 2nd line on the 30th.

He'll be in the KHL within 12 months after getting traded to the Oilers. Book it.

Cammalleri spoke out against the Habs and they traded him within 24h. No matter what, teams can't have that presence in a room for long. While Perron is probably a decent player, it took 5 days because not too many trading partners for the Oilers.

Though this could become a trend up there , Lowe I am sure will have some comment or set up some new internal rules to prevent the young guys from acting out.
Such as, threatening to have them pay back signing bonuses, as he's done before.

I thought MacT wanted a first line center for Perron ? I guess reality struck him

but seriously, ANY NHL C helps the Oilers.

They have Arcobello and Draisaitl as their #2 and 3 Cs.

Literally anyone is an improvement.

I hope they can somehow get Erixon included in this too.

6'4 two way center fairly consistent 30-40 point center? Seems right on par for Perron.

Cannot get worse and can shelter Draisaitl a little more. I'm kind of surprised CLB is entertaining that deal though

I think that is a reasonable return for Perron. Winger for a centre.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

You know that what they really want him for is his world-class "celly" skills.

Perron is better. Oilers are dumb.

Just more peripheral tinkering. You have to deal a kid if you're gonna make a splash. Now they're gonna be content to sit on their hands. Idiotic management, honestly.

because it gives them a half way decent 2nd line center

Ansimov has shown to be a 35-40 point guy, who can play responsible defensively

that 2nd part may be lost in Eakins technique of SWARM THE PUCK

but they are a better structured hockey team getting a 2 way center for a small scoring winger

Oilers are, without question, dumb.

Not in this case, however. This trade would make them a better team because they would trade out of a position of (relative) strength for a position in which they are beyond woefully inadequate
