We'll have to see how the mechanic actually plays out though. With quicker resource harvesting, you'd also be able to set up defences earlier.

Yeah exactly. I don't see if affecting overall rush strategies. It just means different build orders. Things will ramp up faster at the start. I'm half wondering if it will actually reduce the amount of ling rushes because with 12 harvesters, you could probably pump out a marine or zealot ball pretty fast too.
I didn't put much time into HotS. I may have to dust off SC2 though because these changes sound intriguing.
