6-9 sounds like an acceptable record for the oilers.
Crappy but not crappy enough for top 3.

And who is this Cedric Paquette guy?! Scored 2 against us in his first NHL game (no surprise here 'cause we always ensure people get their first goals, first shut outs, milestones, etc. when they play us), but he scored the next game and just scored a short handed goal tonight... so 4 goals in his first 3 NHL games.

EDIT: Looks like it wasn't his first game against us - it was his 7th game (played 2 games last season).

WHL losing 2-0 despite outshooting the Russians by a wide margin. Klimchuk looking OK.

From the Oilers radio broadcast:

"And Nikita and Petry are really struggling on the Oilers blueline tonight"

Sharks look pretty bad, but the Panthers have done pretty well this game as well. John Scott needs to be kicked out of the league. Such a dirty player.

Can't be too surprised about the Avs. They're defense is atrocious.

The Rangers lose to Edmonton and now they're crushing Pittsburgh. Go figure.

Islanders thumping the Avs 6-0. I figured they may regress after overachieving last season but they are turning into a train wreck. They are digging themselves an early hole.

The Oilers are one of those teams that opposition likely takes lightly over the course of a long season. Sometimes even against the Oilers if you aren't playing hard you can lose if their goaltenders has a good night.
