As the article states, the model 3(E) is scheduled to be released in 2017.
I have been reluctant to purchase a hybrid or EV based on the rumours of the batteries dying early and costing a arm and a leg to replace. Is this just a myth?
Can these EV's be charged with your standard 120V or 240V power outlet from your home?
Also, in the US, they have rapid charging stations strectching from the East to West coast. The infrastructure is there now.
Out here in Victoria, there are some rapid charhing stations every few Km's. But what about the rest of the country?
The model 3 is set to sell at a starting price point of $35K. Does that mark the beginning of the EV race amongst the big auto makers?
I know many auto makers have their own little piece of the pie. The Volt, Smart Car EV, Prius EV, yada yada..
But are makers going to go full boar to establish themselves as the leader or is Tesla going to lead a true revelution in EV's?
