video editing suggestion for coaches

Thought I would throw this out there.

I was hoping that someone would know of a video editing software that I could use as a football coach.

I'd like to be able to highlight or circle players, draw direction lines in etc

I was hoping someone had heard of an open source alternative to something more expensive.

What league are you with? I know the midget league, CHSAA, CIS and PFC are all signed up through Hudl for their video and that comes with it already clipped out and the ability to add spot shadows and lines etc.

If you're not with one of those leagues you may want to talk to the league and maybe Dave Kanaroski to see if you guys can get set up since he does all the video for those leages + Stamps.

I'm coaching in the WWCFL (woman's tackle football) we are using the base hudle which just stores the videos but we don't have access to the advanced features.

ahhh we (the officials) have access to all the features for hudl but we pay for it... I have no idea how much it costs but you might want to look in to it.
