I'm blown away that Byron didn't get an offer.
Some team is going to be very lucky to get him.

A little surprised Byron didn't receive one.

I kept trying to fit Paul Byron into a line up, but couldn't find a spot for him. It's too bad, but also very tough to get bigger if you are saving a spot for one of the smallest guys in the league in your top 9.

I'm a bit sad about Byron. I suppose they figured that would be one small player too many, but he was a sparkplug and a good utility forward and I'll be sorry to see him go.

Hmm too bad for Byron, thought he at least earned a QO and a chance to make the team from camp this year.

All in all, Jay Feaster's highest profile "hockey trades":
To BUF: Kotalik (didn't report), Regehr, 2nd round draft pick (Jake McCabe)
To CGY: Butler (gone), Byron (gone)
To COL: Tanguay, Sarich
To CGY: Jones (meh), O'Brien (bought out)
Big gulps eh? Well...

Man, if Byron were three inches taller...
Byron's the only one that I'm a little disappointed about.

Sad about Byron.
Great energy player and should have at least kept his rights.

I like Byron... but don't think you can have the two smallest guys in the league on your team. Hopefully he finds a spot somewhere.

Ridiculous that Byron didn't get a QO. How much better did the guy have to play?
Edit: Never mind. Jumped the gun.

A lot of "blown away" for a player that is incredibly undersized and has had trouble earning a consistent NHL spot on a very weak forward line up.
That said, I like him, but we are pretty small up font and of all the "smaller" players we have, he'd be the first one I'd let walk versus others.

no room for Byron unless they tried him on RW.
Not surprised about any of the other RFAs.
Surprised they gave Hanowski a QO.
