Seems like there's a ton of long homestands and long road trips.

Is it just me or are the two five game road trips and the six and seven game road trips a tad excessive?

Looking at possible back-to-back roadtrip options:
Oct 14/15 - Nashville/Chicago
Nov 25/26 - Anaheim/San Jose
Dec 11/12 - Buffalo/Pittsburgh
Feb 24/25/27 - NYR/New Jersey/NYI
Mar 5/6 - Boston/Detroit
Mar 29/30 - Nashville/Dallas
I'm probably going to end up making the last back-to-back there.

12 games on HNIC
I believe all the TV stations listed are national broadcasts, which would mean 21 games will be nationally broadcast next year.

Ya, seems like quite an odd schedule with long home stands and road trips. Might actually not be so bad for a young team, get them meshing on the road and have weeks at a time in Calgary to help develop them. Better than the 2 home, 2 away that seemed common last year.

Am I reading this wrong or are there a LOT of untelevised games?

Only the National TV schedule has been released.
The regional will come later, and safe to assume all the remaining games will be televised.

unsurprisingly 40 Maple Leafs games will be broadcast nationally.
26 national games for the Canucks
22 national games for the Oilers
32 national games for the Canadiens
28 national games for the Senators
22 national games for the Jets

So basically Sportsnet isn't changing anything in their promise to deliver "the best hockey coverage ever".
Sounds about right.

I might be wrong bit I was under the impression that there will be no more regional blackouts. So we as BC folk could watch on SNW
