Default Cell Phone Insurance Plan (Bell)

hello,

Tragically, my Galaxy S4 was demolished at work, when it dropped from the side console of my company truck, and run over by a vehicle, when I noticed it was gone. Thankfully, I purchased Bell's cell phone insurance plan, so I am going to inform them, and have a replacement phone shipped to me asap. My questions:

-how much is the deductible?
-does Bell provide you with a new or refurbished cell phone?
-how long will it take for Bell to mail me a new phone?

I still have one week left on my shift in Northern Alberta, so I can wait a little over a week for a replacement cell phone.

I would call Bell but I have no phone, and I am not in a populated area. I thought someone may know the answer, or may have been through the same situation.

I can't speak for what Bell does, but MTS has something similar.

How it works is you pay approximately $190, you get a refurbished phone and you walk into a store, return your ruined phone and walk out with a new one.

If you don't have any part of your old phone still in tact, you should still be able to go to a Bell store and get the phone once you have a claim number from the insurance company (which is needed no matter what).

It was really easy for me.

We are with bell and have some $10/month add on since my girlfriend had her phone stolen twice from the back of the restaurant she worked at.

You get (I believe) a max of two replacements per contract and the deductible was 200 (possibly 150 but 200 stands out to me .. Was 6-7 months ago and really I didn't care at the time).

She had nothing obviously as her phone was stolen. She called in, nobody gave her any trouble and she got the phone pretty fast (little over a week but we are in blackfalds which has been slow for delivery, and we probably only check our po box twice a week).

I'm about to replace mine as it glitches out lots and the speakers haven't worked in forever.
