Default iOS Data Monitoring

I am wondering if anybody has a data monitoring app that they use. Specifically cellular data. There seem to be quite a few out there, but from what I can tell they only give you your total data use; not what application is using how much data.

I have seen such apps on Android OS, and would like something similar on my iPhone. I do have a great data plan (6 GB), but with travel to the US later this year it would be nice to see what apps use how much data. Now that I can get a 100 MB data add-on for only $20, I might tent to want to just leave data on the while time I'm in the States.

You mean the data monitor built right into Android itself?

The apps from Carriers themselves seem to be fairly accurate for traveling purposes. They're obviously time delayed but I've always used that myself as a measure of how much I've used. I haven't found anything useful for a per app basis when I used an iPhone though.

I use onavo extend. Not sure how great it is for data monitoring since I use it only for getting Pandora but it says it can do it so might be worth checking it out.

How quickly does your cell provider update their records? I know Virgin (or Bell) you can log in and check your data usage anytime. They even have an app (for Android, but probably for iOS as well) that you can check your phone usage stats with them.

edit: oops, missed the part that you wanted to know the data usage for each app.

I had tried them before, but almost everything came up as "other." Basically they setup a VPN, and tell you what they think the data is. I was hoping there would be something that worked on the phone level. (Like Mazrim said- just like how Android works out of the box.)

I found one that seems to fit the bill:
https://itunes.apple.com/ca/app/my-d...477865384?mt=8

I've only been using it for a day, but it seems to work well. It keeps location services on; supposedly to tell you where you used your data. However so far it hasn't been very successful in telling me anything useful about location.

My suspicions are correct- Candy Crush is a data pig. So far today it has used 4 MB; and that's with me playing maybe 7 games.
